I have a Fluval sea 13.5 gal reef tank.
I have live rock, 2 clown fish, and like 4 or 5 mixed corals.
Tanks been running for about two months. I keep getting this red filmy stuff on my live rock and sand...
I don’t have a protein skimmer, do you guys think a protein skimmer might help me get rid of this stuff?
I think it’s cyano?

It sounds like cyano can you give us a run down of your parameters and a picture of the offender?

parameters I have not measured in the past few days. I do weekly water changes. 10-15%

Help lol please

At 2 months your tank is still maturing. It’s a phase that in time will disappear. Just keep your parameters in check and at every water change siphon off the top layer of sand. I have a 6 month 10gallon that is just now starting to lose its cyano. Another thing to help out is up your flow a bit.
