I hope someone can give an advice with a red montipora digitata I bought 6 months ago.

When I bought it in the LFS it was its red was intense, I placed in the bottom of my RSM-500 to avoid burn it with the HD Hydras. But it does not matter if I place it in the light or the shadow, if I increase or decrease the lights, the thing does not grow or die nor gets its color back.

My water parameters I believe are good but not perfect, I test the water every two weeks at least and make monthly water changes (1/5 of the total volume):

Ca = 420
Mg = 1600
KH = 10.4
NO2 = 0.1
NO3 = 0
pH = 8.0

The lights are Hydras HD, working on these sets:

Any advise will be appreciated!!!

How tall is your tank and how far off of the water surface are the hydras

The tank is 28” and the hydras are 8” above the surface, it is a RSM-500

Mg is a little high but KH is right were it must be as the range is between 8 - 12

I want to clarify all the other corals are doing good, duncans, acans, setosa, hammer, torch, zoas, other montiporas, etc. It is just this particular one....
