Ok guys, this is not intended to bash by any means. Im getting REALLY frustrated with red sea currently because they are not specific on dosing the powder form of the alk buffer. I have called them and have been told that after i mix it all with water, i follow the dosing chart on the back of the container. Only problem is that its measured in grams not ml like what we use to dose. So to me that says that the guy in customer service doesnt know what hes talking about. I hope this isnt true because im a loyal customer to them but if i cant figure out how to dose my tank for alk with their products im just gonna switch to a different vendors method. If i buy the piwder form to make it last longer i also expect it to be able to tell me soecific directions on how to mix and how to dose using that mixture. Any help would greatly be appreciated! Thanks,

I think powder form will be in grams. Then you dose in ml. Like I weigh out gfo in grams per gallons or litres.
But I've never used the product so I'm not sure if I'm helping.

Hmm maybe i misunderstood the first time. Is there a calculator out there for that product? Like how BRS has calulators for their part a and b stuff?

And I'm not willing to completely kill my tank because they didn't put the correct dosing chart on or didn't figure the math to put it to ml

use 1 milliliter = 1 gram, how big is your tank?

Found this:

To increase pH, use 1 teaspoon (6 g) for every 80 L (20 gallons) daily until desired pH is reached (this dose raises alkalinity by about 1 meq/L (2.8 dKH)). For precise dosing, use the SeachemDigital Spoon Scale. In order to adjust pH gradually, use Alkaline Buffer™ with Acid Buffer™.

Is that for red sea alk buffer?

Were is your Alk at now?

It's telling you how many g (grams) of power to dose per 25gal (or 100L ) of tank volume. How much water you mix it with doesn't matter (unless that's stated somewhere else in the directions).

For instance, if you are following the LPS dosing, and your measured ALK was 3 meq/L (8.4 dKH), you need to dose 11g/25gal. So if you have a 75gal tank, dose 33g.

So its saying you need 12dkh to keep LPS coral?

Sorry is doing this in bits
were is you alk now?
were do you want to be?
as @dragon99 stated we would need these two measures and the we can figure the dose this time.
