I have a 105 gallon tank, It has 2- 1 inch drains, and 2- 3/4 inch drains. I am wondering what return pump I should use. I will feed my refguim or an algae turf scrubber with the pump as well. I have a 40 gallon sump.

You want to go internal or external?

I'm not sure if it would be enough to feed the ats (just read the diy on this site, gph would depend on size of ats). Anyway, I think a Mag 7 or something around that gph would work.
I use a Mag 7 on a 150g with two 1" drains, and it runs wide open - thinking about going to a Mag 9.5. I also have a 180g and run both return pumps around 5x turnover. Mag 12 throttled back on the 180g.

I have a mag 9.5, but was looking for something a little more efficient.. I ran across a Water blaster 3000 circulation pump, and it uses a 1/3rd of electricity that the mag 9 does. But its only 750 gph..

I agree with the power efficiency regarding the Mags. I've debated often about switching to something else. The reliability that I've experienced with them is the main reason I haven't switched.
