So I bought this during the marine depot clearance (absolutely stole it - 65 bucks!) and I can’t seem to make a faucet bypass valve out of what is supplied? Am I missing how go connect this or do I need another type of valve?

picture of what it included:

Ok, I don't know what this is. These pieces make no sense.

I am going to say that you didn't get a good deal and that you should probably, just forget this one. :)

Here is a real solution, and perhaps you can get BRS to take what you have back because I can really see no way that that can get water to anywhere other than your floor with what you have.

It came with that stuff with the 4 stage aquamaxx unit. I did order the BRS part - which they say they are still supported and universal fits including filters. Don’t be jealous of my thrifty deal finding. 40 dollar torches are real, I SEENT IT.

But yes, this bag o parts is nonsense.

I am the DIY master. I pulled my RO line from my main house line for a few dollars. FEEEL MMMMMYYYYYY POWWWWAAAA. :P

In your pic you have what appears to be three push fittings. My assumption that these are for different ways of doing this.

Was this specifically for putting on your faucet? Maybe they wanted you to put it under the sink at the shut off valves?

I’m gonna be honest. I have zero idea. This was the bag of fittings that came with it and it makes zero sense. The directions call out attaching it to a garden hose or faucet, and use a faucet pic in the manual.

The black thing is called a saddle. Those usually pierce PVC so that you can get a tee off of a straight piece.

When you say faucet, do you mean the inside one or the outside one?

Hard to tell with out description but the part with male and female threads is suppose to fit on the hose under you sink. disconnet the hose attach the fitting then reattach the hose. Screw the ballvalve into that and hooh up supply to RODI there. The saddle fitting goes on your drain to hook up the waste line.

Top looks like solenoid valve
2nd looks like flush valve
3rd may be low pressure switch
Black pieces are tap valve to tap directly into water pipe (generally under the sink)
Lat pic looks like faucet adapter.

You can simplify by running water from faucet to the unit by adding a hose adapter fitting to the water tubing.
