We bought a sebae anem about a week ago. Tank is roughly 3-6 months old(I know... may be too new) but we wanted to test it out and see what caring for an anem would be like. We purchased a purple tip sebae that I am pretty sure is dead/dying! It isn’t footed and has shrunken as well. This is what it currently looks like. Is it dying, dead?! Should we take it out or wait a bit?!

I've also had trouble getting Sebae's to take ahold in my 90 gallon. Tried all the tricks like building a corral out of rocks, etc etc etc.

It died! We took it out just a few moments ago. We woke up and the hermit crabs were all over it. I think we are going to wait for another 6 months before trying again. The tank is fairly new so we anticipated it.

they are considered one of the more difficult anemones. They are extra sticky and tend to rip. The best practice with any anemone is drop it in the tank and never touch it again

We’d had it for about 4 or 5 days, so not long at all. I was a little disappointed because it was my fav thing in the tank, besides the cora.

They are quite sensitive. It's also best to make sure they've gone through a Cipro treatment as they get infections as well. I'm sorry you lost it
