I use the 887 for testing salinity. I have been trying to reach a decision on what measurement to use. With a fresh 1.025 calibration solution the meter reads 1.024 Sg 32 PSU. Which seems about right. I have read that a reading of 35 PSU is where I want to be, my tank water tests at 33 PSU and 1.026 sg on the meter.
Should I shoot for about 34 PSU since it seems like the meter reading for a known solution is low, or just stay where I am?
