I have a tank up and running for over a year. Using bubble magus curve 7 with no issues. Yesterday I added some Carib sea reef rock shapes and also added miracle mud to my sump and now my skimmer is doing nothing but overflowing. Has anyone else encountered this?

That's going to happen since you added something new with the miracle mud since it needs to settle down. Give it a few days to get back to normal.

It’s been 3 days and tank is still super cloudy and skimmer is still overflowing regardless what I do. I am running filter floss and was hoping that would help but after two days still couldn’t even running that. It’s almost like the miracle mud made “dust” looking stuff in my floor of my sump and blows into my display.
Anything else I can try or just simply wait?

No I was an idiot and didn’t read the direction and just poured it in a small section of my sump. [emoji849]

I'll just be cloudy till it settles but shouldn't hurt anything. The skimmer is fine till it clears up

Just a bacterial bloom. Your system was thrown into overdrive when you added that stuff amd will take a few days to a week to clear up. Just leave it alone.

When a skimmer goes nuts and overflows, you can try this trick. Collect the over flow. My skimmer cup has a handy little bottom drain. I can open it. Collect the skimmate in a cup and discard. My skimmer went nuts so I discarded the runaway skimmate and replaced it with fresh saltwater to keep the salinity stable. After doing this about 4 times, whatever was causing the irritation had been removed and the skimmer reverted back to normal.
