I found a couple of these guys riding in on my Snails. They’re little tiny black calcified dots on the shell of the snails. I tried to scrape them off during acclimation but they didn’t budge. Now that they’re in the display, I can see a tiny white, almost worm like, thread coming from the center of the pest’s black shell.

I haven’t been able to ID these anywhere in the past couple of days. This is probably my last effort before I take out the ones I can find and use a bone cutter to get rid of them.

I’m really hoping the picture quality holds up through the upload

I decided to just start pulling the snails out both to investigate and kill the hitchhikers. Now that I know what I’m looking at, definitely resembles tiny vermatid worms. Thanks for the help!
