Question for the experts here … I have a Red Sea tank XXL900 (240 Gallon)
I only have SPS and my question is … is it enough having only 6 ecotech MP40 ?
currently 2 in the back glass and 2 of each side

parameters all stable and good but my frags been sitting for 6 months brown and do nothing.

That should be plenty of flow.. I’d look into your lights and or nutrients for browning.

High flow is not really an issue for frags. Frags just need some water movement to pull waste away from the coral.

Lower flow rates with SPS will lead to less robust corals, and stunted growth. But not brown, and not stunted 100%.

As the SPS grow from frags into colonies and you have more branches forming tighter colony structures that's when high random flow becomes important because you have to keep the water moving throughout the colony structure.

This is one of the higher mortality issues for colonies coming out of the wild, they were growing in a set flow pattern, and when moved to a new home the structure of the colony may not allow water to flow evenly through it leaving dead pockets - These dead pockets get toxic and kill the coral tissue - which can start a snowball of tissue necrosis.

That should be plenty of flow unless they are turned way down. I have four MP40s on my 120 sps dominant tank. I would agree with the others and check your lighting and nutrient level.
