Trying to think of what to do under this tank. I thought about wrapping it with glass tile that matches the back but in a 1x1 mesh with some lighter colors added in. I also thought about doing the tile as a trim around the steel and leaving it open. Curious what anyone thinks would work nicely. It’s 40” tall 30” deep, and 4’ wide. Tank is located in my office.

Evening

I’m a bit confused (But it doesn’t take much).

Is this tank going in your office? What will be under the stand. I like the open idea depending on what is inside. If it is nice I would maybe add some ambient led lighting. If it is more of a storage type cabinet i would do full wrap.

I don’t know if I would do tile, just because it adds weight. If you are making removable panels for access it may be a pain, and if a panel falls a tile may crack. If I understand correctly

Thank you for the reply. Nothing is under there because I have a sump room. I don’t like wasted space so I considered shelving but I also have to cover the styrofoam and plywood that the tank is sitting on. I thought about dressing up the frame with tile and leaving it open to put stuff under the tank.

Sounds like a good idea.

Way beyond what I could do, but maybe frame the entire thing out in tile leaving it open to put in the shelves.

They have tile you can use as trim moldings. You could use the trim to wrap around the bottom of the tank to hide the board. It was also give some detail to the work in the tile. Then do the field tile below.

hope that make sense it sounds better in my mind that on page :)
