My dad and I plan on setting up a reef tank in july. I really want to get my stocking list down for everything. I want to have a pair of clowns, a royal gramma, a firefish and some other small fish plus a hawkfish and some wrasse, including yellow coris wrasse. Advice for coral and inverts would be much appreciated. Will update with setup details and dimensions soon. Thanks in advace

Welcome!

For wrasse with that size tank you can get possum wrasse, the pink streaked wrasse, one halichoeres (like the yellow you mentioned), and if its a long tank maybe a small flasher or fairy. I always suggest the blue flasher, paracheilinus cyaneus and maybe the pintail fairy, Cirrhilabrus isosceles.

Great, thanks. I'll look at the blue flasher wrasse

Welcome, glad you are here! Easy starter corals, mushrooms, gsp ( on its own island) , zoas and leather corals like sinularia. Cuc, trocus snails, cerith snails, nassarius snails, dwarf red and blue legged hermits and female emerald crab. Added as needed, you want some food for them. My two favorite cuc, tuxedo urchin and tiger conch.

Any suggestions for fish
The least aggressive hawkfish is the longnose. You can also get cardinals and of course gobies. The goby pistol shrimp pairing is fun but unfortunately a hawkfish may eat the shrimp. My favorite and easy shrimp gobies are the vampire and yasha.

Great, thanks. Any suggestions for fairy wrasses. I like the ruby longfin but any others to go with it
Here’s the fairy chart. Depending on the length of your tank you may be able to get some A or B fairies. But really I’d stick to one due to the size of your tank.
