I recently purchased a 75 complete setup that had been badly neglected and it came with this sump.
I know it is a older custom made unit but I cannot figure out how it was initially setup.
I'm guessing the round holes at the top were for reactors and it has probe holders. It was setup to run an external pump. someone added a extra divider at one end that is not holding water due to improper silicone on acryilic. I have no idea what these two square chambers were used for. The top one in the pic has a small hole in the bottem leading to the second one as well as a hole on the outside of the sump the 1 1/2 pipe you see inside is not open. The second chamber is open on the bottom but looks like it may have had a tray of somesort at 1 time. any ideas?

It looks like it could be a great sump.
Is it a full glass sump?
Not sure if the four holes are set up for filter socks or just the one by it self as a 4" sock

I don't think they are for a sock because they are too high and would overflow everywhere and they are right about the output for the external pump.

Silicone should never be used with acrylic. this sump looks like a mess, I'd personally junk it and get a new one.

Silicon was only used for the 1 divider and I do think it needs to be modified but is usable. I just can't figure out what those two champer could have possibly been for
