I just bought a Canon powershot SX150is , its a great camera but dont know how to take close pic of my sps . when i zoom in it not focusing on the coral . I know the camera can take great pics , what settings should i use . Need help from the camera pros

I use the sx100is with no problems

I would have to say operator error is blurring the pics :)

try to use the timer on the cam or take multiple pics just the slight movement from pushing the button will distort pics

also I take about 500 pics and only save probably 20-30 pics

One thing I have noticed is that if you are trying to take pics through glass and you are looking at an angle (to the glass) then it will distort the object and make it appear blurry. Try a tripod and get level with the object. Also try turning off pumps to let particulate settle in the tank. Hope this help :)

Oh and yes. I take about 50-100 to get 5 or so that I will use. I love the digital age!!

Your camera may not be designed for true macro work. What are you trying to replicate?

No, LEDS will not cause distortion, they may pose problems with white balance though.

Point and shoot cameras a lot of times offer a "macro" setting. Most of the time if not all the time it will not give you a "true" macro shot. You should be able to do some decent shooting though. How close are you wanting to get?

really close shot i see some poeple that have this camera take up close shot but i cant do it

IF YOU HAD TO TAKE A REEFING EXAM, WOULD YOU PASS?
