Bought this tang close to a month ago. It couldn't have been very old due to the size and how translucent it was. It was sold to me as a yellow eye Kole but as it's been "colouring up" it has no yellow around it's eye and is starting to look much more like a two spot.

Looks like a young Ctenochaetus cyanocheilus.

It seems to lack the "2 spots" of the 2 spot. Cyanocheilus would be my guess too.

Not kole as I have one but more like a blue lip or short tail bristletooth

Kole tang. It might have never had the yellow around its eyes. Or got sick and lost the pigment.
Ctenochaetus strigosus is impossible to get unless from a tank break down.

The colour of the ring around the eye is also part of the pattern on the fish. It can’t be lost unless it’s another species.
