Okay so this monti was in too low of light for a couple months and then it got knocked down and was under my overhang getting no light for a week or so. It has dead spots throughout and grows algae in those spots. I have hand pruned it off a few times but it keeps coming back. I have fixed the lighting problem since.

Any and all tips are welcomed (don’t shame me for this one I’m still learning sps)

Still has good PE and some flesh

If it isn’t getting good light then superglue it up high near the top
That’s were it was before when I had one light and it was probably in 75ish par now it’s sitting in 200ish so much better I believe.

Just curious about what to do with the algae that keeps growing. Will new flesh eventually out compete the algae? Or is it a losing battle.

Check your nutrients make certain they aren’t to high . Also turbo snails are angels from heaven get them if you’re having algae also blue leg hermits are good for hair algae and they’re cheap .
