I'm new to the hobby and picked up this 125g used tank a few days ago. The gentleman I bought it from still had water in it until the morning I went and picked it up. Now that I have been able to look it over, I've noticed areas in the seams where he must have hit the silicone with the algae scrapper a little too hard and I don't know enough about tanks to gauge if it needs to be all stripped out and redone. The edges roll back on almost all the seams but stop at a certain point. I know you can't use new silicone with old but I don't trust my skills at redoing the seams and my nearest aquarium store is Petco so I don't exactly have a LFS to ask. Is it still OK to use or should I just start crying and finding a way to get it out of my house?
