Immediate problem right now is my torch that I purchased about a month ago (Nov 2). Dipped and went into a QT just for the two new corals.

Torch did well and opened up:

But then about a week ago, one of the heads receded :

Brown discharge started clumping up on that head on the right and the other heads started closing up.

Then tonight - REALLY closed up and the others haven’t opened either.

(Head in left in this pic is the one that was on the right of the second pic).

Not sure what’s going on. Changed water a few times.

Hammer just hasn’t really opened since getting it:

Brown jelly disease most likely. It can kill other LPS too. Iodine dips can help. There's a thread on R2R where there's more treatment options.

Did what I could tonight. Took them both out and did a CoralRx dip and did a 100% WC.

Not even sure if there’s anything left to save on this head? Should I just frag it off?

Both the torch and the hammer are still the only things together in QT

Use Marine Melafix, from API. That will helps you alot, I use to put it on my tank everytime i get new corals, reef friendly, juat make sure to remove any carbon media when using it, this stuff brought to life a lot of corals that I was loosing. I've been using it for 4 years

I would Frag them into individual heads. They most likely will not make it unfortunately. It looks like it was a Gold torch. The Gold torches seem to be more prone to BJD from my experience.

Expensive lesson unfortunately...

What a crock though - didn’t even make it into the DT - just QT.

I guess I could look at the bright side and think that the purpose of quarantine before introduction to DT was served. If it was in the DT, who knows what others it would have affected?

+1 on fragging the surviving heads. They still
Might have a chance

Did you frag the heads and try to save them?

I did - but it was too late. Don't mess with brown jelly - that's like the kiss of death! I fragged them Thursday - tossed two dead heads. Changed out water 100%. Iodine dip. By Friday - remaining heads on torch were on spewing. Hammer started looking bad too. Saturday - all that was left were two heads (out of 8!!) on the hammer. Another water change on Sunday. Today - I'm down to only one head on the hammer. BAD KITTY!
