Help with vermetid take over

I am in the process of switching from a 55g mixed reef to a 135g my rocks are covered with vermetid snails . I have read and read and obviously there is no one good solution for these things . I have super glued them, I bought a six line wrasse that was said to eat them ,no luck . As I am in the process of moving rock from one tank to another to get the new tank acclimated I was using a dremel to grind them off but clearly I will never get them all . Dose anyone have any solution or experience with this problem ? I figure my best time to try and fight them is now while switching tanks . My other issue is some of my rocks have corals on them and I'm guessing I'm just totally out of luck with them . Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated

Could you be feeding too much? Sometimes you have to based on fish type such as Anthias. It's been my experience that Vermetid populations tend to take over when there is an over abudance of food.

I don't think so I generally only feed a small amount once a week or so from what i have seen some people feed twice a day . I only have 4 fish in the tank . I do no that one problem was I was using a turkey Bastet to blow everything off when I cleaned and that made them come out and eat . The problem now is how do I prevent the new tank from exploding w them ? I'm worried about putting all my current LR in the new tank and having the same overbearing population of them

I guess that leaves me at the same conclusion I have been coming to with all my past research ..... Stuck with them ! Unfortunately I can't do a dip on all my rocks because of coral placement therefore I would never eliminate all of them . Good article though thanks
