Yea, salt. Should be 1.023-1.025 for keeping corals, you can go to around 1.021 for fish only... somewhere in there. When you change water, you have to use salt mix. You're pulling salt water out so you have to put salt water back in. Salt doesn't evaporate so when you add top off water you are only replacing water that had evaporated so you don't have to add salt.

Nope just RODI water and salt mixed to the correct salinity. The bacteria are already in the tank doing their thing.
