Help with water level on coralife 300

Coralife 300 skimmer water depth?
Does anyone know what the water depth needs to be for the Coarlife 300 cone skimmer? I bought one new without packaging and am unable to find anything online about it.

I don't own one but from a quick search on google all I could find was that the water level needs to be about 2" above the pump and it takes some time for it to break in and start skimming effectively! I would say start at that and open the exit wide open and run for a day or so and then start slowly closing it down until you get it skimming correctly. Hope that helps some!
