As I wait for all the parts for my 220 gallon build that is bringing me back into the hobby, I am looking at a new RODI unit. My current unit has a broken water pressure gauge and will need all new filters and a membrane, so looking at whether I would be better off replacing it. I currently have a 12-15 year old Purely H2O Vision https://purelyh2o.com/product/optima-vision-75-gpd-ro-di-system/ and having to replace all except the TDS meter means already sinking money into it that I could put towards a new unit. Not sure if my water report says I need more filtration or not, but it doesn’t look bad to me. Any water pseudo-experts that would mind taking a peek at the following report and provide a recommendation? The tds was reading 106ppm from the water source if I remember correctly. Thanks! http://nemorganws.com/docs/NE-2018-Annual-Water-Quality-Report.pdf

You’ll get all kinds of feedback on this, so here goes mine....
Your water report is normal and has what I consider, relatively low tds.
The 75 gpd, 4 stage unit you have will work, but it only has 1 di cartridge and that is a mixed bed of resin (cation & anion) and 1 ro membrane.
Upgrading to a unit that has more stages and individual di resin is better, so when one is depleted, you only refill that one, and not both media.
With a 220 gallon tank, you may want to go to a 150 gpd water saver, 7 stage unit and be done with it.

Thanks, Brad. I looked at those, but was leery of buying a store branded item that can have a large effect on the tank like an RODI can have. Glad to hear my water is normal as well. Trying to ensure I start this new tank off the right way!
