Help with wavemakers & power heads on my IM 30 long

Howdy,

I am wondering if I have enough flow on my tank.. I use the stock return pump that comes with the IM 30 long and one jebao ow-10 wave maker. I am wondering if I need more if so some recommendations.

Probably depends on your planned livestock. I also have an IM 30l, I swapped out the return pump for two Eheims (compact 1000’s) and added an mp10 on each end. Great tanks.

I plan on having fish and corals. I eventually will put two return pumps in but gotta move slow. What did those returns cost you? Are they DC? Is the mp10 necessary? So pricey what's the benefits ?

I'm doing mp10 with ice cap kyre 1k and

innovative marine dc pump for return mod.

Hope is not too much flow. Lol

Eheim compact 1000’s are not dc, but instead chosen for their appropriate flow for my preference. I added two spin stream devices on about a year and half ago, which added some nice moving flow. Never cleaned, still working fine. Dc not needed. Mp’s, i just like them, great flow, reliable and easy to clean.

I guess I have to find a used MP or a sale to couple with my OW-10. just don't want too much flow

I don't have any fish or coral yet.. tank is almost done cycling so going to need it all soon
