Hiya,
Hoping someone here can clue me in on what's going on with my cyphastrea. I've had this guy for 6 years. Started as a 1/2 in frag and he's now a beast around 8 in diameter. He's beat back zoas and fused several pieces of live rock together over the years. A few months ago, I noticed an odd discoloration appear near an edge. The patch is greenish under white lights, but still resembles the rest of the flesh-just a different color. That patch has grown considerably and seems to be spreading faster each week. All the polyps are out at night, but you can see in the photo, they are pretty retracted during the day relative to polyps outside the area. Any idea what is happening here? Nothing new has been introduced into the tank within the the last two years, so I don't think it's a pest. The tank is automated with alk, mg, and ca dosed every hour. I do a 10% water change every 2 weeks. No change in lighting for over a year (LED + t5 combo). Any help would be appreciated!
75gal display, 20gal sump, pH: 8.3, temp: 80, alk: 7.1dkh , ca: 492ppm, Mg: 1430ppm, sal 1.026.
