Help with wrasse

He looks the same, but it looks like he tried to make a mucus cocoon tonight, so that's better I guess. There hadn't been the past two nights
 
I would probably leave him alone then, since the FW dip was stressful enough. Let's see how he's doing in the AM.

Wow that's neat. Looks like he definitely had some!
 
Wow! These are gross but cool. Anybody have a flukes anatomy lesson for me? lol I see a head with what looks like fangs. Probably more like hooks that they attach to the fish with.

Yes, pic with circular region has hooks, though the diagram I'm seeing shows 3 sets.

Yeah I had to look up a diagram, thanks to Humblefish, I had a species name to search for.
 
Still on his side, has moved from where he was this morning but still lateral. formed mucus cocoon overnight. Looks like may still have mucus on him,I can't tell if it's from overnight or he's currently producing it.
 
I think since we know you are dealing with capsalid monogeneans here (Neobenedenia), you should do hypo instead of more Prazi to eradicate them. I don't think your fish can withstand more chemical treatments right now.

Another method that can be used for capsalid monogeneans is hyposalinity. In one study, 15 g/L (ppt) salinity or lower for two days eliminated juvenile and adult Neobenedenia melleni. When 15 g/L was maintained for 5 days, the hatching of N.melleni eggs was prevented. It is important to note that some fish species may not tolerate this treatment method.

This is not quite low enough salinity for ich, correct?
So can/should I continue TTM? Or switch to hypo? I am 9 days into TTM, was planning transfer a tomorrow and Sunday and done.
 
Fish can generally handle lower salinity changes better than they can rising salinity changes. So you could probably drop it down quicker than you think. Since your wrasse is so weak though, I would spread it out over a couple days. I'd like @Humblefish to confirm or correct this though as I dont have a lot of experience with hypo treatments.

Correct, hypo to treat ich is 1.009.

I would incorporate this into your TTM regimen. You can start lowering SG while doing TTM.
