I have a Wrasse and in the last 2 days it has developed a white mark on its top fin that seems to be growing in size and causing the fin to rot away.

He is in a QT tank along with a bunch of snails as well. Can I get an ID and treatment that hopefully is safe for snails as well...

Sorry for your troubles. The photos aren't very clear and hard to identify really. A few thoughts is lympho, which is a viral infection but it doesn't cause fin rot. It could also be bacterial related.

Had the same issue with three wrasse's, two of which died very quickly. Learned my lesson on the third. Did an hour dip in malachite green and formalin every few days for a week, and fed soaking food in Selcon. Wrasse doing great for four months now.

Good Luck

They are in the quarantine tank now. Mind you the Sixline is in this tank till Tuesday because it goes to my father in laws QT tank since this weekend was his last days of QT for his fish in there.
There are snails in this tank as well just a FYI. I can’t tell what it is but I have furan 2 in hand

So I apologize but I can't tell be the images posted. Even when I zoom in on them it just becomes blurry.

Most medications will kill inverts so they will need to be removed prior to treating.

Furan 2 is effective against many bacterial issues so if that is the only medication you have on hand I suggest using it. It wont hurt anything if administered properly.

Also what are you're current water parameters and hold it the QT tank?
