I've had this guy in QT for 10 days. He's been eating well (frozen food soaked with Focus/Genera Cure. I just noticed that he's not as active as normal, and saw what looks like some reddish discoloration on his sides. Any suggestions as to what it is and what to do?

Often those redish areas signal a bacterial infection. First choice for those redish areas is NFG powder. But a very good substitution is the "Trifecta" of Furan2+Metro+Kanaplex. Time of of the essence here. Those red-ish areas can go sideways really fast. Best of luck with your beautiful fish.

Thanks, Gary! I don't have either of the two you mentioned, but I do have methylene blue and fish flox (cipro). I am leaning toward a methylene bath followed by cipro treatment in a separate tank. What are your thoughts?
