My friend's dwarf lion is going all bonkers swimming oddly and such. It happened after he put some guppies in to try and feed the lion. He's fairly sure it ate one.
He sent me a quick video.
I'm trying to help him out.

That doesn't look good, appears its just in the flow being blown around with no gills moving. Good luck!

How much flow is in the tank?

It looks like it's too much flow for him. How long has he had the lion and how did he acclimate it?

The lion has been there for about a month . The flow isn't even pointed upwards either. You can see the clowns are swimming fine in the flow.

OK. and how did he acclimate it? Are there any other symptoms he's displaying whether they are behavior or physical?

He did the semi-drip method. Add water to the bag and remove water from the bag. Those are all the symptoms. He tried to eat a guppy and then started swimming erratically.

Weird. Without more info, there's not much I can do to help. I'm sorry. I wish @Lionfish Lair was here to help.

Yeah, i'm not sure what's up either. He ate a guppy and all of a sudden flipped out.

Yeah, well nvm, he got home and it was dead.

Well, poo. That's too bad. Zebras can be difficult to acclimate. They are my least favorite in terms of hardiness.

The flow was too much for whatever was going on. He was definitely being blown around and was powerless to stop it. It sort of looked like he was having some buoyancy issues.

Yeah, he'd been in there for a bit over a month without a problem. Not sure what happened. He did eat two guppys though. Saw them in his stomach afterwards. Stuff happens I guess.

That's actually very common for zebras. If someone said they had a dwarf that was acting strange a month in, without even seeing it my guess would be that it was a zebra. If he goes for another dwarf lion, tell him to get a fuzzy. They are super hardy and wonderful.
