How long have you had these? The first ones look like they haven’t been in a very good light and have lost a lot of colour. I agree with @dyerrm that the second ones are Fire and ice![]()
I have some zoas that if they get touched or if they hit the sand (snails knocked the rock from its spot one day) their color isn’t as bright. Bruising maybe? I’ve also fraged a few zoas and sometimes the color they had is not as bright as before I fragged them. But after a week (maybe more) they regain their color.Had them for two months or so. They are in a lowboy frag tank with a 6 bulb T5 set up above (Blue, Actinic, Blue, Coral+, Purple, Blue). These polyps were recently fragged off of a larger colony and stayed closed for a day or so once glued to the new frag, so that might explain the color morph on the new polyps growing out of the side?
I don't think it is the lights. Bulbs are only two months old and everything else in the tank is growing like a weed. This picture was taken in the "sunset" period, when only two blue bulbs are on.
Found this labeled as “birds of prey” zoa- could be first pic![]()
