Have some Twizzlers that have been struggling recently. Starting seeing some brown slime grow over them so I did a furan 2 dip followed by an iodine dip. Part of the mat between polyps has started to balloon. Is this normal? Adverse reaction to the dips?

No it's just the effects from being dipped. Depending on solution and tjme length some zoa species can take longer to open and fully recover .

OK, thank you. This was my first furan 2 dip. I had never encountered this behavior with other dips before.

I use Brightwell aquatics Medicoral to dip zoas and lps when the suddenly closeup for a few days out if no where. I also use it when fragging zoas, it definitely cuts the recovery time down. After forcing zoa ls to close, I have found a peroxide treatment is better if just concentrated directly on algae. Hope it helps out

Had done peroxide spot treatments before without any success with these particular ones. Was trying furan 2 as a last resort since coral revive, peroxide, and iodine at various times hadn't been working.
