Please help! I’ve had my reef tank up for a year and a half. Everything has been great and my corals have been happy and growing. Just the past two weeks, my torches, hammers, candy canes etc are not opening. I have also had a Hollywood stunner melt and die. I have had my waters parameters checked multiple times and every time they come back good. What else could cause them to die or close up
If the parameters are good. Also, there has been no change in my lights or my flow.

Do you know the specific parameters before and after everything started getting unhappy? Large swings in almost any parameter can cause coral distress.

This was a check from today but my parameters were around the same before I had them checked again today. I went to two really reputable dealers that have been in the business for many years and they both told me that the parameters are where they need to be. Neither one can tell me why my corals are closing up and even dying

Water parameters look good. Are there any tank inhabitants that may be going after your LPS? All the corals you’ve described are corals that angelfish tend to go after for example.

No. Only invert is a cleaner shrimp. I have a couple wrasse, coral beauty, couple of clowns, goby, blue tang, etc. been having the same fish for a while when everything was good. This change in the corals just started a week or two ago. I can’t figure it out.

I've had Hollywod stunner's melt in one tank connected to another tank and all I could say is that there was a stronger light in the tank that was melting it...

Check all your magnets and heaters! I had the same thing happen to me years, ago and it turned out to be the two little fishies algae clip magnet was rusting inside of the casing. Apparently they're not made to stay inside of the aquarium 24/7 who knew! A quick google search showed that it was a huge problem
