and this guy came in at the same time idk if they are reef save they came out of some live rock that i got at the pet store

The crab is an emerald crab. These are commonly used in reef tanks. I've never personally had any problems with them. Chances are very good you will be fine. Nothing is ever 100% with crabs though.

ok thank you i was going to kick them out of my tank but i guess i keep them and c what happens

Emerald crabs, males in particular, appear to become quite predatory as they age. Based on the stories I've heard, I wouldn't keep one.

Most brittle stars are safe but certain ones may also become predators of fish and/or inverts. Watch it closely.

Score!! Wish I'd find goodys like that in my rock :) All I've ever gotten is algae and hydroids and glass nems and and a gorilla crab :( lol Good luck with your new additions!

AS for all crabs in the reef, if there is food for the scavenger they will not bother anything. Once they have to go hunting for it, and there is none, then your corals are in danger. Other than that, there are quite a few people who keep Emeralds in there Reef tanks.

I'd go with Reefing Madness advice on this one; as long as they are not starving they are good reef tank inhabitants.
All brittle stars are reef safe even when they get full grown, except the Green Brittle Star, which may eat very small fishes and ornamental crabs and shrimp.

Emerald crabs are good at eating valonia or bubble algae as it is commonly called. In the early years when I would have an outbreak a couple Emeralds would clear it up in days then I would trade the back to the LFS or to a friend so they didn't start eating other things or starve.
