Wait!
One Month and you had corals and fish and a shark!?
Your tank isn't done cycling at all you could've gotten away with maybe 1 fish after two weeks!
But you overloaded your system much to quickly you probably didn't have enough nor have enough bacteria to handle your bioload.
That's why you can't kill your nutrient levels.
You're going to have to give it at least another month or so before you start putting anything in it my friend. You have to go slowly with a tank that size! 1 fish a month at least to give your tank time to adapt to the increased bioload

I would have to agree your tank is going through a mini-cycle. You should add livestock to your tank slowly allowing the bacteria population to increase. Good luck and if you have any questions feel free to ask

What was the tank stocked with, it may have been overstocked ..... being just about a month or so old was still very fresh and not fully cycled. With the stock you put in may have restarted part of and cycle that maybe had not finished yet...just and thought. ......

^^^^^^^^.....exactly. ..didn't see your post but that was my thought too......this hobby needs tons of patience. ....this is what I would say is the number 1 mistake made....

I waited 2 months b4 adding any livestock to our tank...

I started with fish only in my nano and took the leap after three years to coral. My tank was so stable/mature that I had immediate success. No need to wait that long, but in my case it saved me a lot of frustration.

I agree seachem prime will help lock in the ammo, nitrite, nitrate until you can get water changes done. Fine a new or temporary home for the shark. Correct me if I am wrong everyone, but don't sharks give off high levels of ammonia?

I agree. Slower stocking from here on out is the key to future success. We've all been there. Good luck!
