Ordered an acrylic aquarium from Advanced Acrylics (John) approximately 18 months ago. Unfortunately, I paid for the aquarium, $3,000.00, before the build was complete. After all of this time I have still not received my tank. I have contacted John, on numerous occasions, but he does not respond to my texts. Apparently, he has no intention of returning my money to return my money. I reside in N.J. and the company in question is located in California. What are my options?

Sorry to hear what you are going through, that's a lot of money there. If Advance Acrylics is a member of BBB you can start from there or reach out to Moderators or REV and see if they can help out. Good luck in getting your money back.

That's horrible! I'm sorry to hear that. :( What city is he supposed to be in?
Jarupa Valley California. I contacted him again, via text, several days ago. He said that he was mailing me a check. But I have not received it. I know that he is lying to me, because he has done this many times before. In reality, he has stolen my money. I cannot fathom how Advanced Acrylics remains in business. I contacted the BBB and the Riverside county District Attorneys Office. John has not responded to either of those organizations. I am a senior citizen living on a fixed income. The loss of this amount of money will have a significant impact on my quality of life. "Caveat Emptor. Buyer Beware".
