It's around a year oldKind of looks like diatoms how old is your tank
No the only thing that I have changed was the filter floss I have in one of the chambers in the backHave you switched foods filtration or maintenance at all recently
I'm using Red Sea coral pro I been running this for over 3 months now but before I was using reef crystal waterWhat kind of water are you using for water changes?
When I do the water changes I rinse the filter floss and scrub it and do this about 2 times and then just swap it for a new one after thatDid you change what you're using Or get rid of it or just replace it with the same thing but clean? And also does your tank have a fair amount of flow? Also have you tested nitrate and phosphate

Haven't changed the bulbs since I got them so might look into that ?? And it's like a dust type comes right off when I clean it and the flow I got a mini power head and the return flowchanged your light schedule, new bulbs? hows your flow? is it slimey or is it kind of like a dust?
It's a brown colorok, bulbs change spectrum as they get older, toss on a new set of bulbs. this might not take care of the problem but its an all around good thing to do. it is red or brown? the light from the tank may be distorting the color for us.
The return point is pointed up to the surface and I have the mini power head in the back facing toward the middlealso if I was you I would move your powerhead down and have it point up or across the tank. that could be a low flow area and that would help create more flow.
