I just got a small frag of zoa and the other zoas I have are open but the smaller of my zoa has not opened at all is the norm when they r put in a tank or is there something agro this colony

Sometimes it takes a few days for new zoanthid/palythoa frags to acclimate and open....I've have some take a full week.

what is worrying me is I got both today and the fist size colony is opened but the smaller colony is closed up tight

Even though they're both deemed "zoas" they all behave differently. It can take a while before they get used to your system. Keep them in decent flow and keep an eye on them. If they're clean but closed then they're just ticked off and that is normal. If they start developing any brown film, spots, or shrinking then you have a problem.

they got stung by a toadstool is that bad news bears or is there hope for them I got them to try to save them I got an awesome deal I got the fist size colony the hurt frag a banded britle star and a baby mushroom for ten bucks I also got a led upgrade I got a old cree led with everything for free talk about a raok it needs tlc like the screws need to be replaced it works yet needs to dry out its wet form being in someones shad I have to say this way the best Christmas I ever had

they where stung by a frog spawn coral are they going to be ok

Was it a frogspawn or a toadstool that stung them? I'd say it should be fine if it was a toadstool but euphyllia have a fairly strong sting. Do the polyps have any slime or anything covering them?

Depending on how long it was being stung that is probably the issue. Is there anything covering the polyps, slime, brown film, white spots/blobs? If these are present I'd try dipping it.

For now I would just keep an eye on it, keep it in decent flow and watch for any other signs of irritants, pests, or infections.

they are starting to open up any idea on how to quickly dry out a led light my cree was in my shad and got a little water in it but other then that it looks ok and my zoas look unhappy with the stock marineland led
