I've had this little dude for a few years and haven't had much problem with it. Yesterday he turned completely pink and I found it with the remnants of a crab hanging out of its mouth today. Then tonight I caught it trying to shock and capture another hermit crab. I rescued the crab and then fed the coral to appease it for the evening. What is this thing, and why has it decided to begin eating things? I think it might have eaten my diamond goby that completely disappeared overnight a few weeks ago?

Its a grand Paly I do believe.
I'd say its hungry.
A lot of people say you dont have to feed corals, well if it has teeth I think we do. Like most of the tank inhabitants if theres no easy food source it will start hunting, like rogue crabs and some stars will.

Ok, thanks! I switched food about two weeks ago. Maybe it's not getting everything it needs from the new stuff. Will supplement. :) I was worried they just start murdering one day and it all goes downhill from there! Haha

Yes try to target feed this guy. Or you can turn all pumps off and get some high nutrients in the tank this will help all corals.
