Woke up to this, nothing left to buy as far as equipment, full RO/DI, nitrates at 0, phosphates at 0, at wit's end. Way too much money to be left with a FOWLR using a Red Sea Max 650.

Dinos started out like that in my tank. I thought it was Diatoms at first too. The sand got darker and darker and then the brown slimy strings started showing up along the rocks with a few of the slimey bubble strings.

The photo was taken in the morning with the lights out. The front of my home where the tank is situated is never in direct sunlight so I doubt if lighting is a factor. It's long and hairy and covering my rocks.

This sucks, I'm really over having this tank, my wife is on my back about wasting money and after all I've spent on this, I still have the same problems as before. Somebody please take this thing off my hands.

Although I would love to, you should stick with it. All you need is a better CUC. I suggest hermits, snails, and urchins. Maybe even a blenny. They'll get rid of the problem fast!

Last seven additions to tank including Algae Blenny have died. Maybe I should put a bullet through it and let the insurance cover the losses. Jeez!

Dino is toxic and pretty much kills anything that eats it, and then the dino feeds off the stuff it kills. its a lose lose.

Well it doesn't eat it, it just shovels it, stirring it so it's white again Dino sand gets covered by white sand and dies off... I've had one for almost a year now and it's been great not sure why you heard they aren't good.
