I want to make my 80 gallon tank to a reef but I want to know what kind off liquid I should use

Are you asking what kind of salt mix to use? If that's the case you can go with a multitude of choices. Reef Crystals, Salinity, Red Sea Coral Pro ect ect... the list goes on and on. Always use RO/DI water to mix your saltwater.

I prefer Instant Ocean (because its cheap) and then add calcium chloride to my vat to make it "reef grade" as needed.

Whenever I test a batch of IO salt, these are the consistent results: Alk 11, Cal 400, Mag 1350

The main thing the salt is lacking for a reef aquarium is calcium (400). (You might want a salt with higher magnesium if growing SPS.)

You can use this product to raise the calcium level of the salt before setting up the tank and/or doing a water change: http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/brs-bulk-calcium-chloride-aquarium-supplement.html

Simply add 3 teaspoons of calcium chloride per 10 gallons of water, to raise the cal from 400 to 510ppm. :)
