Hey everyone I got a giant mushroom about a week ago it's been fine until today I noticed it closed up and a brown slime coming out ?? Anyone know what's going on all water parameters are good other corals are fine

Also I had a gobby die two days ago not sure if it's related

It count be a parasite causing it and The brown slime might be its guts. I really am not sure, but I would recommend dipping it. I have not tried it myself but since mushrooms are hardy you could dip it in freshwater for 2-3 minutes. I have heard it kills anything bad.

Could be a parasite I think. Try the dip for sure and give a few days to recover

Haven't dipped it but it seems to be doing better today
