Just got done battling cyano,brown diatom blooms and green dust alage.. lost 2 clowns,1 wrasse, 4 blue green chromis (2 at time), lost I turbo and clam on live rock died,we also battled pistol shrimp or mantis not sure because of coloring and yes there's still a 6th one snapping away.... so our tank is a 30 high, been up and running since july, we keep up on weekly water changes and cleaning, we only use rodi, instant ocean for salt, temp 78/79, salinity is 1.023, now we test our own water and we pay fish stores to test water... just a trace of ammonia p.h. never went past 8.2, nitrite always zero, highest nitrate have been was 20 ppm... since end of August end of September everything was perfect as far as readings... other than pistol shrimp we have no idea why all these fish died and 3 fish stores said the same... any advice??? Now we still have a turbo.. 2 Margarita 2 emerald crabs a baby one.. pulsing Xenia, and a Duncan coral... since we treated and cleaned for cyano... there is zero brown diatom..zero green dust alage, tank looks great.. tests are great...what next?? And I have a new problem... looks like tiny strands of hair on the glass every where some in the shape of star fish and some just like little hair... there are also white dot kind of spiral with feathers real tiny on the glass... also a red slug bug that looks like it has an elephant nose..comes in and out of live rock

That snail looking thing with the trunk-someone can name it but I don't believe it's reef safe.
The mantis (which I'm betting that's what it is because of lost fish unless it's a massive pistol) has to go. I would do a complete tear down if it was me....

To me it sounds like you are still going through a cycle. "just a trace of ammonia". Maybe I am misreading? I had the the "hairs" and they went away. I think the starfish and the snail are cool! There are others on here that can help you out a lot more. Good luck on the shrimp and the tank!
If you lost the fish just after or during treatment for cyanobacteria then it might be related to low O2.
Snail looks like a Cowry type and probably not reef safe, @Lionfish Lair for ID.
You saw no disease process with the fish, no flashing, loss of coloration, were the fish eating?
Snapping sounds like a pistol I would not be too concerned.

No the last fish died 3 weeks before we treated for cyano... they say people quit the hobby but I enjoy it and am.not giving up lol so I'm trying to get to the bottom of it... the tank looks amazing now just not sure what the hair on glass is..and some of it look like star fish so I'm nervous to do a cleaning

Oh sorry, I didn't realize you posted after Tahoe.... my comment is in reference to the orange/white snail.
So they are harmful? It has a trunk of an elephant looks like a slug and is fast
And the green star shaped hair all over glass well most looks like hair and ten or so look like star fish

It's hard to say where they died from as of now.
I would leave the tank fallow for a while and get a good balance on it for at least 76 days.
Why the 76 days? ........... cause almost every decease if not all will go away without a host.
Looking at your pics it still a young tank and IMO you went to fast.
While you get a balance on all look into a QT and you can buy fish within two weeks but treat them in QT by the time your tank hits 76 days they are ready to go in.
After that you can get another fish or two in the QT.
That's how you build up your livestock.
As for the corals, QT will be awesome but if you keep it with softies ot LPS a good long dip will be enough.

I have kept a log with everything we do.. we premix mixed the salt let it run for a week...added substrate let it run for a week.. then added live rock and let that go an entire month and a half.. beginning of September we added 2 chromis..2 weeks later two clowns and we let it ride then added Margarita and turbos and emerald slowly... and beginning of October after we thought we were done with our cycle end of August when all readings were perfect ..hair alage..green ball alage..green dust brown diatom then cyano.. then 1 by one the chromis died following week clown got pale and died..second one just died and both with in hours.. iam home allll the time and watch life come and go and the tank is never left until attended I'm trying to do everything by the book... I love this hobby and am not quitting.. we have help from 3 fish stores and a close friend who helps us and no clue what what's going on.. I thought it was pistol shrimp but was told they were peaceful

If damage is done all we can do is testing your water.
IMO it might have been a decease with a rapid dead, velvet.
It could be also a ammonia as it might be that your tank never went through a cycle.
If you said you have a log what can you tell me about your ammonia history in the first four weeks?

It looks like you never had a cycle as far as ammonia and nitrite.
Nitrite is 0.0 across the board right?
Ammonia is just up to 0.50 but for a short time.

But if you went through a cycle you needed to have higher # on Ammonia and Nitrite in order to bring some life in the tank as bacteria.
With no bacteria your tank never cycles or well it will take a long time.
You can test for yourself by a few drops of ammonia in the tank, wait about 10 min and test.
Than test again after 24 hours to see if it dropped to 0.0 or close to that.
If that happens your tank is pretty much ok to add one fish at the time as we talking 11 gallons here, just always QT your fish.
