hello, I noticed these little red things coming from my starfish. Any idea what they are?

weird. No idea. I'll stick around to see what the others say..
 
I'm no sea-star expert, but I know that these guys can appear to be doing well while they're slowly dying inside. (Kinda like some people I know . . . ) They can look great until suddenly one day they begin to disintegrate.

I hope that's not what I'm seeing . . .

That rock looks very clean, though the rock in the background looks far more mature. Sea-stars seem to do better in aquaria that've been established for a while. How old is the tank he's in?

Any ammonia, nitrite, high nitrates?

I did some research, they are eggs that have been released!
