The reason i do water changes is the fact that the only thing off is the mag in fresh made water... besides the alk being high... which in return should raise my alk in my tank and I don't have money to drop on salt every time i get a bad batch...

Look bro [emoji4] if this salt is as bad as your saying and that your positive that your tests are right and you've crossed referenced them. Why oh why would you continue doing water changes with them?

I'm truly attempting to help you correct your parameters. If your not positive your tests are correct then what are we all doing here? [emoji41]

I am very confident in the test kits but if for some odd reason my friends and mine are bad then how can I prove that? Also, is love to buy the af tests but no idea when they wool be released.

Well if possible you can take some tank water , and some fresh mixed saltwater to your local fish store.

Right now all we have to rely on is your tests. So let's cross our fingers that they are right.

Well if your confident in your test kits then we are gonna roll with them. Who am I to say if they are right or wrong but we are gonna trust them.

Before we start down this road if you doubt them one bit then I'd suggest you order yourself some new ones. If your good then we are all good and we roll with it.

The expiration dates are golden still...i mean to order the af ones but they aren't out yet... and i don't have the money so will have to roll with it.

These stores are the same. I know the owner. He couldn't pay his rent the first shop which was fish 4 u and then the new one is horrible to... algae tanks and not many nice corals. On top of that he doesn't order fish in and if you have him order something in he has to have a specific amount before he will... and if he does order fish in, if his gf likes a fish he will keep it in a tank with everything for sale but will say no his gf likes it... and then won't sell it. If you ask how much that fish would be he would tell you he would have to ask his gf... pretty pathetic...

And he stole coral from me when he held my coral when i had the tank crash and he stole 150$ from when I preordered lights....no light, no refund, and he can't even afford to keep his cell phone in service.

I hope not. I want the continues growth... my Montipora have taken off but sowed down since my alk was low

Ok. I raised alk to 8.6 over the past few days. Calcium is sitting at 450. Perfect! When i get back from the gas station I will be testing mag Ann's nitrates. Door the last few days I've upped my dose of np pro and bio a to 3 drops from 2 to gleefully help with the nitrates and phosphates. Still have to get phosphate minus and life bio fill...i have noticed SOME algae but nothing to major at all...i found a small patch that had like fern look to the tips. Any ideas?
