Ok guys, I tested two nights ago, I believe 2 days after I started dosing 123+ was a bit short so increased from 8 to 10 ml daily as @jsker recommended, tested tonight, my alk is 7, cal 400
perfect

Might increase to 12 ml to see where I end up.

That will be fine too, natural sea water is 700 alk once you increase to 12 ml daily let the system ride for week and test again. Your parameter will shift around due to consumption. For example since you have a steady alk you system may start consuming more Ca and Mg, or even alk and bumping up the 1+2+3+ slowly based on alk is how 1+2+3+ is adjusted.

So tonight after I added 12 ml earlier today alk is still at 7, calcium is at 425
Taylor, are you still checking you alk with Red Sea? I was getting some off reading the last few months and I am not longer checking my alk with Red Sea, and I am suggesting you compare your alk with another test.;)

I don't have money to buy another test mit...its a brand new refill from red sea...sifferent reagent change

I completely understand on the money issue:) Just an FYI I have and have been reading that Red Sea alk test reagent has been having issues even with new reagents. That is kind of why I have not trusted my Red Sea alk test for some time now and went with a different test. I know we are all waiting for the AF test to released here in the US and with your finances save up and get a different alk test to be sure.

When I was testing with Red Sea the test would show either very high with one and with a different reagent I tested low:( Until you are sure of your alk, I would stay at 12 ml daily

Test before you dose, then you will know your lowest point.

Ok so I have been keeping up with 12 ml. One day I missed the time to dose so alk dropped more. Calcium was a little low so dosed 15 ml for today. Tested tonight and alk was at 5.7 so I added alk. Not the component but the alk supplement. And added a little calcium do to it being a little low as well...will test tomorrow

Just mix the recipe in component 1+ without the Mg
