those should be unrelated. Whats your alk? No3?po4?ph swing. Now my cal is 500
got it. Awww Poop. Pull the scrubber and hit the surface with a powerhead the PH will equalize.Like the ****** I am I put an co2 scrubber on to help my acro's
Not 100% sure there's anything else you can do.Did pull the scrubber
the cal will drop on its own and the alk. Watch the Mg and dose when you need. I would skip this week's water change too help the parameters fall back in line if you are use a salt with high alk and Ca. If you need to do a water change grab a small amount of at different brand with lower alk, Ca to help bring down the Ca, Alk while keeping the water fresh.
You use reef crystals? that is were your high alk and Ca are coming room. IORC is produced to run high for faster growth. You could use IO sea salt which has lower parameters in the mix to help lower the Alk and CaI bought a ph scrubber that's what kicked this all off. It jumped it to 8.5 in a day. I just use ocean crystals
What Was your calc at before it reached 500? Size tank? And what do you mean by ph swing, how large was it compared to your normal daily swingI had 2 almost 3 sps corals die from a ph swing. Now my cal is 500 how do I lower it. I've done a 25 percent water change.
