Correct those are Zoanthids, It is hard to tell what kind from the picture. I would be great if you could get a better picture please

Hi mate whats the easiest way to remove frag from coral so that a can glue it on to my rock

If your not in a hurry you can go the natural route. Place or glue a frag plug next to the zoas you want to frag. After the zoa grows onto the plug take the plug away from the main colony. You can frag many corals this way. I like to think is a safer more passive method but time is involved. Know as propagation by means of laceration.

The other method would be using a razor, and scrape away the polyp from the rock. This method can be hazardous. If doing it this way wear mask, eye protection, as well as gloves. Then contain everything in a small organized area. And do a good cleaning of anything that may been in contact. Palytoxin poisoning is nothing you want to mess with. Zoanthids can squirt.

Careful with zoas, they release toxins when hurt/cut/etc. As was mentioned, for zoas make sure you are using mask, eye protection, gloves, and preferably do outside away from people/pets or in a well ventilated area. Have to be careful.

And keep your hands away from your mouth and eyes until your cleaned up.

I fragged an encrusting cyphastrea I grew out from the size of a quarter. It grew off the plug onto the rock. First I popped off the mother colony I started with then with a cold chisel and hammer divided up the rock and gave away to friends I swap corals with often.
