Woke up to find my red fire shrimp dead he was eating and dancing around ok yesterday... Done a water check everything fine .. Any idea guys what could have caused it

Sure its not a molted exoskeleton?

My banded coral shrimp will molt about once a month. Make sure it's not just an exoskeleton. If it actually is your shrimp test your water for copper. Also is there a fish that might could have killed him?

+1 on the molting. When I first started with this hobby I though my large blue leg hermit was dead and nope, he wasn't. My fire shrimp molts at least once a month also
