all of my corals are closing up or dying. I am not sure if it is a water chemistry or lighting issue. I have 3 Hyrda 26’s over my 125. My latest parameters were Alk 9.35 Calcium 440 ppm Mag 1285mg

Is this a sudden event?
Light shouldn't do that unless it was changed recently or the it was a slow decline.

Kinda the same for chemistry.

Post all your water parameters - or everyone will simply ask you for them. Like PH, Phosphate, s.g. value @ what temp? You last WC, did you use RODI water, and which brand of salt and what % of total volume was changed. Etc...

Along the lines of WCs can't hurt - I did multiple daily 50% WCs with RODI water, instead of tap water. About 9 days later my phosphates level would stay below 0.10 after two days.
When my tank was going south, my phosphates were too high, past 1ppm at one point.

It has been a slow decline, I changed my light settings in hopes of correcting the issue.
Got it
What are your nutrients at?
Are you running gfo purigen etc?

I'd go back to what you had on the light probably.

True.

I have seen tanks at 3 that are flourishing. Not .3 but 3.0.

And I did forget the rodi question.

I just checked all of my parameters befor I left for work today. Alk 9.07 Cal 529 ppm PH 8.1 Phosphate 0.00. I am not running GFO but I have been dosing NOPOX since the tank was setup. My last water change was Tuesday, 30gal I use Instant Ocean Reef Crystals. SG 1.025 temp 79 degrees F.

I would halt the nopox, more than likely it's a nutrient issue. If your po4 and no3 (My guess is they are undetectable?) your corals are starving if your nutrients have been low for a while.

If your running a softie tank stay away from the Nopox. There’s lots of threads on here about Nopox stripping the water column and starving the corals. If your doing water changes and running a slimmer that should be enough. Check your N and P periodically and if it starts getting to high deal with it on an as needed basis.

Feeding hasn't been mentioned yet. I use Reef Roids that I spray directly on all the corals (half teaspoon per cup of tank water).
I don't have fish in the reef tank, but lots of clean-up crew and two anemones, so they get plenty of frozen Reef Frenzy.

My N's and P's register, but low. Skimmer takes out smelly green junk on a daily basis - thus my water is "dirty" but under control.

Process of elimination, keep your chem levels steady, water change with 0 TDY, feed, you could shorten the length you run your whites and ramp up the intensity slightly to see if that causes the corals to open or close more, then go off of that, also make sure no nuisance critters are bothering, etc..

Was sitting down... couldn't get up anytime soon. OMG ;Jawdrop now I look at my tank ;Shy
Lots of SW forums out there - real glad I started here.
He's made good improvements too. Got the po down to under 2.7. o_O
