Help !!!

I have this fish for the last 20 days. Was in my QT for 14 days. I moved them into my DT 7 days back. I noticed the male Anthias was not moving as usual for the last two days. Noticed a bruise on the side. Any help is appreciated... thanks... the fish is eating though... but stays in the top corner of the tank.

Looks like a bacterial infection. I recommend moving the fish back to QT and treating with ABX. The "trifecta" which is Metroplex, Kanaplex, and Furan-2. This covers a wide spectrum. Safe to combine the three in QT.

Thanks. How about the other fishes? No sign of infection on the other fishes ... but should I treat them ? Thanks

Bacterial infections aren't generally contagious. I've heard of anthias being affected by Uronema though, and that _can_ be contagious.

Uromema is definitely another possibility Bruce. That pic is under blues. OP Is there any redness? Does it look like a bloody bruise?

I just placed order for these three ABX in Amazon prime. Hopefully the fish will survive till Tuesday. Thanks again

He is gone. The question now is should I treat the tank or other fishes ? Other fishes are doing fine as of now. TIA
