I started cycling 8 july by putting dead shrimps for 3 weeks(replaced every 3 days ) then left for 3 weeks with powerhead ONWhen did you start the system up and how did you go about cycling it? Those numbers say yes it has cycled but without specifics it is just a guess.
Even the skimmer was ON after 4 weeks of cyclingI started cycling 8 july by putting dead shrimps for 3 weeks(replaced every 3 days ) then left for 3 weeks with powerhead ON
Actually i just got a test kit so i didnt have that to see the ammonia spike
But my water parameters now are all listed above
I m worried about the ph as my digital ph meter show reading of 7.40 and api test kit shows it within 7.8 to 8Well then, if you are positive the ammonia is at 0 then I would give you the green light to start adding livestock. But, do yourself a favor and go very slow. If you put too many fish in right away your system will not have enough beneficial bacteria to handle it. Patience is and will always be your best friend in this hobby.

As marine fish need it at 8.2
Is it a issue??
I have a 48x18x24(LxBxD) tank .Almost 100galloon . And i m planning to add 2 clownfish and a starfishWell then, if you are positive the ammonia is at 0 then I would give you the green light to start adding livestock. I would bet your digital probe is outa whack. Marine fish do not need 8.2, my system ranges from 7.9-8.1 every day.I m worried about the ph as my digital ph meter show reading of 7.40 and api test kit shows it within 7.8 to 8

No lights[emoji29]liquid reagent test kits get you close, but are notorious for being nearly impossible to get an exact number. The digital meter may need calibrating. Test the Alk you want it to be between 8-11. If it's also low then add buffer as well as increase the surface agitation to help gas exchange. Also if the light has been off during this time, kick it on as it will also help with the PH drop. Just be careful on the buffer as it's easy to over do it and shoot your Alk up and off the chart.
So its good to go??I would bet your digital probe is outa whack. Marine fish do not need 8.2, my system ranges from 7.9-8.1 every day.

Corals are illegal in IndaiYou will be fighting to keep it up when you go to add fish and eventually corals. Also once you turn it on you will get the lovely diatom bloom and then the cyano bloom. These are normal for nearly every new tank. The diatoms while look bad are harmless and will die off once the silicate levels fall. Cyano is another issue that can be treated by nutrient level management and with products like Chemi-clean.

In that case a basic 10-12K LED light will be just fine. You can pick them up fairly cheap on Ebay. Just look for the BeamsWork 10K FOWLER lights. Theone you want is the 1W HI Lumen Aquarium Light Marine FOWLR. The other type are the low power .5w LED lights and are much more yellow with a 6500K color. Depending on the tank size you can get them for as little as $30 USD. Add a timer to it and you're good to go.
